WOOD YOU BELIEVE IT: Caber tossing at the Gourock Highland Games.
THE people of Inverclyde turned out in their thousands for this year’s record-breaking Gourock Highland Games.
Gourock Park was filled with families who took in some great action as it unfolded in the summer sun.
Chieftain of the games, Provost Michael McCormick, said: “The games were a tremendous success this year.
“It proves we can continue to put on a great show, year after year. It’s great for Gourock and for Inverclyde.
“People from all around the world came to see the events and were very impressed with what they saw.
“One of the highlights of the day was the march past. The parachute drop was also fantastic to watch and was very popular with the crowds.
“All in all, it was a great day for everyone involved.”
The Highland Dance competition was very popular and entertained everyone for the full day.
Sporty youngsters popped along to have a look at street football in full flow and the heavy events competition went down a storm.
WERE you there on the day? The Telegraph's photographers were and to see if you are in any of their pictures, make sure to grab a copy of today's Tele - in shops now.
