TRIBUTES: Tommy Burns
FORMER Morton boss Jim McInally led tributes to Celtic and Scotland legend Tommy Burns, who died this morning.
McInally, who worked with Burns for many years at Parkhead, said: “I’m devastated for his family.
“He has a young son, but the good thing is that Tommy had his faith which, hopefully, will give his family strength.”
Burns, who was 51, had bravely battled cancer in recent years.
Tommy Dorney, club president of Greenock Celtic Supporters Club, said: “I’m absolutely gutted. He was one of the best.
“People talk about legends, and this is one guy who deserved to be called a legend. He transcended everything about Celtic and Rangers."
