SAYING FAREWELL: The QE2 will return to the Clyde for the last time in October.

IT’S the moment we have all been waiting for — and now is your chance to get on board the QE2.

The Tele has FOUR gold-dust tickets to be won which will see lucky readers get ON BOARD the QE2 when she makes her final appearance in Greenock on 5 October.

Today we start our amazing competition — and all you have to do is collect 12 tokens to enter. The winning ticket holders will be invited to a VIP drinks reception on board, then get a tour round the world-famous liner.

Every day from today until, and including, Saturday 6 September, we will be carrying a token a day in our paper. Simply buy your Tele every day to collect the tokens!

Once you have collected all 12, just paste, tape or staple them to your special QE2 competition entry form below.

You can enter the contest as many times as you like to give yourself better odds of winning this once-in-a-lifetime prize.

We will break the four tickets into sets of two, so there are two pairs up for grabs.

The deadline for getting your entry into us is noon on Monday 8 September, which means the two winners will be drawn that afternoon.

Thousands of people are expected to turn out when the QE2 makes her final visit to the River Clyde and docks at Greenock’s Ocean Terminal.

Special viewing areas will be made available, but there will be no public access on board the QE2.

She is expected to arrive at the west end of Ocean Terminal and around noon on 5 October and will depart at 10pm to continue her farewell visits to British ports, before departing for Dubai. Thousands of people came to Greenock when she visited last September to mark the 40th anniversary of her launch.

Tele editor Wendy Metcalfe said: “We are delighted to have the chance to give away these once-in-a-lifetime tickets.

“This will be an immensely memorable experience for four lucky readers — one they will never forget.”

When your QE2 entry card is complete, post it to QE2 VIP Competition, Greenock Telegraph, 2 Crawfurd Street, Greenock, PA15 1LH.
