Police hunt for attackers

A MAN who was attacked in Port Glasgow on Saturday night suffered serious head injuries, police have said.
The 30 year-old victim is in a serious condition in Inverclyde Royal Hospital following the murder bid in Bardrainney Avenue.
Police say they are hunting two men between the ages of 17 and 18. Anyone with information should contact Greenock CID on 492 676 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Jobs to go as centre shuts
A RESIDENTIAL unit is to close its doors, leaving as many as 40 members of staff out of work. The unit’s residents, teenage girls who are being looked after by local authorities, will also have to find new homes.

THE Black Prince cruiseship will be making a farewell tour from Greenock this summer. The liner, pictured, is being retired because of new safety regulations and will be carrying passengers for the last time in June.
