WARRANT officer Frank Raeman is compiling an account of the air conflict over Belgium during the Second War.
Frank is keen to learn more about a Greenockian who is buried in one of three cemeteries covered in his work. The grave's inscription reads:
Currie, Hugh (Mentioned in Despatches), Sergeant, Royal Air Force Volunteer reserve, Service No 974050, 97 Squadron, Killed in action, August 17, 1941, age 26, Born May 11, 1917, Greenock, Renfrewshire.
Frank wishes to make contact with any next of kin of Sergeant Currie.
He is happy if anyone wishing to check his intentions does so through the British Embassy in Belgium (+32/2/287.62.63).
