MORTON have signed 23-year-old Clyde player Stevie Masterton.

The dead ball specialist, who can play at full back or in midfield, will join up for pre-season training at Cappielow after his current deal with the Broadwood club runs out in the summer.

He is Ton boss Davie Irons’ third signing, following the acquisition of Aussie midfielder Erik Paartalu and goalkeeper Colin Stewart.

Masterton scored for the Bully Wee on the opening day of last season at Cappielow, with a free kick from outside the box.

It is believed Morton are still looking for another full back, and a striker among other targets.
