Ton deals still up in the Ayr

DAVIE IRONS has admitted he is still on the lookout for at least two more new players before the season gets under way.

Former Rangers defender Chris Smith and ex-St Mirren star Alan Reid both lined up for the Ton as trialists in their pre-season friendly with Ayr on Saturday.

And Irons was impressed by the pair’s display, despite the 1-0 defeat to the Honest Men at Cappielow.
