Newby ready for tough challenge

JON NEWBY will go into tonight’s clash with Hartlepool with a steely attitude — and it’s all thanks to his first clash with Paul Ince.
The new Ton striker knows that the Scottish game will demand toughness and strength, but it’s not a challenge that the former Liverpool player is shirking from.
Newby still can remember the first time he played in the Premiership for the Reds and was given a warm welcome by hardman Ince.
The 29-year-old said: “My only first team game for Liverpool in the Premiership was against Middlesbrough and I remember it well."
