MORTON manager Davie Irons was full of praise for Morton Supporters’ Club who have sent a message of support to the team ahead of Sunday’s semi-final.

Please let us play
GREENOCK boss Stevie Mooney is desperate for tomorrow’s match at Wishaw to go ahead.
Successive call-offs in the past few weeks mean the last competitive action for his team was way back on 13 December. In a cruel twist of fate, young midfielder Jason McLaughlin looks like being out for several weeks.
Port Glasgow have no injury worries
WITH the winter freeze looking like loosening its grip, for the time being at least, Port Glasgow are set to return to action tomorrow.
Recent postponements have thwarted the Port in their bid to maintain their three-game winning run. The frosty conditions also led to the cancellation of Monday night’s training session.
But the squad finally met up at St Stephen’s High School on Wednesday to plan for tomorrow’s game against Kilsyth Rangers at Ravenscraig. There was good news for manager Craig Brown, with no injury worries to contend with ahead of the match.
Away form is the key now
TURNING narrow away defeats into draws or wins will be the key to how successful Morton are this season, says boss Davie Irons.
McAnespie on way out
TON boss Davie Irons is set to part company with one player today and
admits several others may follow him during the January transfer window.
Midfielder Kieran McAnespie looks poised to make the short journey
across the water to join Dumbarton.
Capital ice hockey king Mark in China Games bid
MARK PATERSON is set to get his skates on for a trip to China, and is appealing for financial aid to make his dream a reality.
Mark is a part of the Great Britain Universities ice hockey team, who are currently ranked 11th in the world.
No relegation battle here
IT may be eighth against 10th today, but Ton boss Davie Irons is in no mood to bill this match as a relegation dogfight.
PLAYING THE BARCA WAY WON’T WORK
IN-form midfielder Allan Jenkins reckons the First Division is not the place to be trying to replicate the passing play like that on display in La Liga.
Nine points on the trot for Port
PORT GLASGOW gave their fans the best possible Christmas present of another three points, as they racked up their third league win in a row.
