GREENOCK & District Bowling Association have, once again, enjoyed a fruitful season, albeit without any help from the good weather providers.
Pride of place went to those who reached the Scottish finals at Ayr Northfield.
Port Glasgow’s Sandy Wotherspoon was defending his Scottish singles title, having added the British Isles title to his trophy cabinet earlier in the year, a superb performance.
In the event Sandy lost out in the final, a tremendous display nevertheless. Sandy has done the district proud and in Aberdeen he contested the World Bowls Champion of Champions, coming fifth equal after having topped his section.
