Will MSP condemn decision

Printer Print Article

I WAS disappointed to read (Telegraph 17 April) that SNP minister, Jim Mather, did not approve Inverclyde Alliance’s bid for £1.6 million from the European Structural Fund.

The money would have been spent on much-needed employability programmes and, to add insult to injury, Inverclyde was one of only two bids the minister knocked back.

So what’s the SNP West of Scotland List MSP, Stuart McMillan, saying about this?

Not a word. He’s quick enough to get in the paper and sing his party’s praises.

Can we now look forward to him denouncing the minister and putting down a motion at the Scottish Parliament condemning Jim Mather for his decision?

Word to the wise — don’t hold your breath on that one.
