GOUROCK was again the location of choice for filming of the new series of Waterloo Road yesterday.
The town's Kempock Bar, on Kempock Street, was turned into a film set as programme-makers continue to bring a taste of showbiz to Inverclyde.
Production trucks, filming equipment and cast and crew all lined the streets from early in the morning as more scenes for the forthcoming series eight of the popular BBC programme were shot.
Last week, star of the show Chelsee Healey was spotted on Ashton Road as filming took place on the Gourock promenade, while cameras were rolling simultaneously in Cleats Bar on Kempock Street.
Around 20 per cent of scenes will be shot on location during Waterloo Road's two-year stint at its new home in the old Greenock Academy on Madeira Street.
Port Glasgow, Greenock and Gourock have all had a taste of filming over the last few weeks.
Show makers are pressing on with bringing storylines to life ahead of Waterloo Road's return to television screens sometime in the autumn.
The last series to be based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, came to an end on screens last Wednesday, when teachers and pupils headed off for their new home in Greenock.
