STUDENTS at James Watt College were made up after receiving a visit by top industry experts to help with their studies.

Students on the make-up artistry course at Finnart Campus were visited by Lauren Sullivan and Annie Tagge from Charles Fox Make-up, who delivered a talk on new developments in the industry.

They also gave an invaluable demonstration to the students on air brushing.

Annie spoke to the class about work experience placements that will be available with the top London make-up company in the near future.

The local NQ students also had the chance to hone their skills when they attended a Bobbi Brown workshop at The House of Fraser in Glasgow.

Professional make-up artists from the top UK firm performed various demonstrations for the students, followed by a question and answers session.

The students were even allowed to try and test the products for themselves.

Lecturers hope the workshops will help prepare their students for moving on to the HNC in fashion make-up after the summer.

Isobel Donald, make-up artistry lecturer at the college, said: "Students benefit from seminars and events, both in the college and out in industry surroundings.

"James Watt is the only Scottish college to enjoy close links to Bobbi Brown and links with high-profile companies such as these are important for our learners to gain a valuable insight into real-work experiences."
