KILMACOLM woman Doreen Lang was surrounded by her family for her 100th birthday celebrations.
She received a congratulatory card from the Queen, presented by Deputy Lord Lieutenant Colin Brown of Kilmacolm.
And Inverclyde’s Depute Provost, Councillor David Wilson, presented a letter and flowers on behalf of Provost Robert Moran.
Councillor Wilson said: “It was a great occasion for Mrs Lang and her family.” He added: “If a family has a 100th birthday or a diamond wedding, they can contact the Provost’s office and he will gladly attend with a letter and flowers on behalf of himself and Inverclyde Council.”
