PROVOST Robert Moran has paid tribute to the generous people of Inverclyde who give their time and money to help needy children.
He hosted a special presentation in his chambers recently in recognition of all those who have supported Children in Poverty throughout the year.
Those honoured included local business and members of the public who go out of their way to support the charity.
Provost Moran added: “It is a wonderful charity and it is an honour to recognise those involved.”
The civic leader gave out awards on behalf of Children in Poverty.
Chairman Pat Burke organised a number of fundraisers including a Christmas draw to help boost funds.
