LODGE Cumberland Kilwinning No. 217 met in the Masonic Hall, Brown Street, Port Glasgow, to celebrate the Festival of St. Andrew and the installation of RWM Bro. Gordon D R Leitch and his office bearers.

Deputations of visiting brethren from within and outwith the province were welcomed into the Lodge and led by RWM Bro. Allan MacFeate of Lodge Greenock Kilwinning No.XII.

A large and influential deputation from Provincial Grand Lodge was welcomed, led by PGM Bro. James P Livingstone.

The Installing Masters, Bros. Gerard Robertson, William R Nugent and Robert S Stone, all Past Masters of 217, were received into the Lodge, where they took their respective offices to conduct the Installation Ceremony in a traditional manner.

Following the ceremonial, visiting Brethren, members of Provincial Grand Lodge and the RWM Bro. Gordon D R Leitch and his office bearers retired to Harmony, where the following toasts were proposed with suitable replies.
