TRAVELODGE have ruled out Greenock’s harbourside as a location for their new hotel but today confirmed they are looking elsewhere in the town.
The Tele had revealed how vacant land between Victoria and East India harbours, above, was among a number of sites being explored by the company for its first Inverclyde hotel.
But the prime waterfront location has now been ruled out.
A spokesman for Travelodge said: “We are not looking at that site but have identified others that we are exploring at present.”
The chain announced plans for an £84 million expansion last year, which includes a hotel in Greenock.
