FUN-LOVING students dressed up to raise funds for a serious cause.

The women who are taking an NC Administration course at West College donned their favourite costumes to hold a home baking and gift sale for charity.

There was a Minion, a Queen of Arts, pirate, fairy and even a Star Wars Stormtrooper to help out on the day. The group chose Clic Sargent because of the combination of children and charity and the event was organised as part of their course.

David Nicol, business and computing lecturer, said: “It’s a fantastic effort, they’ve all worked really hard, they contacted the charity to set it up and collected donations for the raffle and gifts to sell and organised their costumes.

“They enjoyed arranging it all and working as part of a team.”

He added that there were five groups in the class doing different activities including one who did a sponsored walk around The Cut in aid of Ardgowan Hospice.
