GLENBRAE Children’s Centre has been busy championing great causes.

Parents, staff and children worked together to organise a sponsored walk and storytelling session.

They raised cash for two charities Reach for Autism and Teapot Trust – who provide art therapy for children in hospital – with both charities close to the hearts of families at the centre.

They also organised donations in support of the Salvation Army hamper appeal and Children in Poverty Inverclyde.

Acting head Carrie Murphy said: “This has very much came about because of the parents.

"This is a nursery in an area that is classed as having high levels of deprivation. It says a lot about our parents want to help other people. We are very proud of that.”

Children in Poverty founder Pat Burke said “We have formed a close relationship with Glenbrae Nursery. With the acquisition of our own holiday home, courtesy of Morrisons Foundation, we shall be able to continue to enjoy our great relationship.”

“Carrie and her wonderful staff.”
