POLICE rushed to Gourock this afternoon after reports of a robbery.
It's believed that an incident took place at a newsagent's in Shore Street.
The alarm was triggered around 4pm this afternoon and three police cars were sent to the Cowdens shop.
The premises were subsequently closed.
An eyewitness told the Tele: "The police arrived on the scene and the shutters have been pulled down at the shop."
Police describe the incident as 'ongoing' and they are yet to release any further information.
