A PORT Glasgow schoolboy who has Asperger’s syndrome was paired with one of the best footballers in the world during a magical night as a match mascot.

Nine-year-old Noah Brown’s dreams came true when he won the chance to lead out Manchester City for one of the biggest games on the planet.

But to top it all off the nine-year-old walked out onto the pitch at the Etihad Stadium in front of over 50,000 fans with Argentinian striker Sergio Aguero for the Champions League semi-final clash with Real Madrid.

His proud mum Anne was almost in tears as she watched him from the stand.

Football fanatic Noah said: “It was brilliant. I was a wee bit nervous but so happy to be with Aguero. He is the best player in the whole world.

“It was very loud when we walked out. I hope Manchester City win the European Cup.”

St Michael’s pupil Noah is a huge  football fan.

Before the big match he was given VIP treatment along with his mum and went home with a special Champions League strip.

Anne, 41, of Milton Road, who works in the EE call centre in Greenock, said: “I was so proud of him. I had to stop myself from crying.

“He wanted to walk out with Aguero so badly.

“Noah has Asperger’s and needs support at school. He finds things quite hard socially so this was a big experience.

“He also struggles to sleep, but after that he slept soundly!

“He took it all in his stride. He was great the whole day and it was a wonderful experience. I had never even been to a football match before!”

Anne was out walking her dog with Noah when she took the call offering him the chance to be a mascot.

She said: “He was way ahead of me on his scooter and I had to shout him back. I couldn’t believe he had won.”

On the night Anne and Noah cheered on City as they drew 0-0 with Real Madrid, with the second leg due to be played next week.
