A ZANY zoo is rolling into Newark Primary tonight.
Youngsters in the upper school between primary five and seven, are staging their annual show, based on the story of a zoo that won’t open.
Claire Scott, primary four teacher and director, explained: “None of the animals behave the way they should and the zoo keeper is embarrassed to open.
“We have monkeys obsessed with housework, showbiz tigers, dancing hyenas and fish that can’t swim.
“We have been rehearsing for over a month. There’s been a dedicated team of people who have worked extremely hard and have put all their energy and commitment into the show.
“The costumes are fabulous too.”
Claire said she was ably assisted by Laura Jackson, Kim Holden and Fraser Donaldson.
The show runs tonight and tomorrow at 7pm.
