DRUGS worth a street value of £60,000 have been seized by police from a home in Yoker.

Police raised a property in Dyke Road with a search warrant and found 43.9 grams of cocaine, 181 grams of cannabis and 60,000 diazepam tablets.

A 21-year-old man was arrested and detained in connection with alleged drugs offences after "intelligence-led operation" at around 9pm on Friday, May 27.

Inspector Neil MacDougall said: “Drug dealing has no home in our community and we will continue to act on any information received to target offenders and show them that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated.

“This was a significant recovery which has reduced the potential harm which could have been caused by these drugs, both in Glasgow and beyond.

“Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
