GREENOCK actor Martin Compston will go from good cop to serial killer after landing a role in a new TV series.
Compston, who plays policeman DS Steve Arnott in hit BBC police drama Line of Duty, is set to play a psychopath in a three-part mini series on ITV.
He has landed the lead role in a new programme about one of Britain’s most notorious serial killers, American-born Scot Peter Manuel.
Compston will star alongside fellow Scot Douglas Henshall, who plays the police officer who helped track Manuel down.
Filming is expected to start in Scotland later this month.
