INVERCLYDE businesses are being invited to benefit from the major ‘city deal’ projects.
A number of schemes are planned, including extending the Ocean Terminal and building a new roundabout at Inverkip to pave the way for a planned housing development.
Now local companies are being urged to go to a ‘supplier event’ to see if they can land any contracts.
Inverclyde Council leader Stephen McCabe says each project brings opportunities for local businesses.
He said: “This is a key chance for Inverclyde-based businesses to meet the right people to find out more.
“The eight west of Scotland councils involved in the city deal have joined forces through the supplier development programme to offer practical help to local businesses to get themselves contract ready.”
The event takes place on June 16 from 9am until noon at the Beacon Arts Centre.
