A GREENOCK golfing double act will tee off on a big charity challenge to help people fighting cancer.
John Gunn and his best friend Mark Taylor have clubbed together to take part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘Longest Day’ golf challenge.
The golfers will play 72 holes, hit around 300 shots and walk for 27 miles tomorrow.
John, of Caddlehill Street in Greenock, said: “It will be really tough. We will be playing four rounds, starting at five in the morning and finishing at 11pm.
“Cancer is something that touches us all and affects every family, so we wanted to do something to help.”
John and Mark, of Gateside Gardens, will be joined by professionals from their club, Carrick, for moral support and the third member of their team, Alan Granger.
