FEARS are growing for the safety of a Greenock man who went missing a week ago.

Loved ones of Paul Larkin, who is in his 30s, say he had arranged to meet friends in Germany on Friday but didn’t show up.

His family say they understand he was in Berlin last Thursday but alarm bells started ringing when he failed to turn up to meet pals the next day.

His concerned brother Chris has made an appeal through Facebook to anyone who has heard from him to get in touch.

Chris wrote: “If anyone knows my wee brother Paul and have heard from him in the last week, please let us know.

“He was in Berlin last Thursday we believe and was due to meet up with friends on Friday. However he didn’t turn up.”

Chris says his brother has now been officially registered as a missing person through the authorities.

He said: “The family and friends are getting more concerned each passing day.”

Many local people have been sharing the missing person appeal post on social media in a bid to help find Paul.

The Tele contacted Police Scotland, who told us that they were not aware of the appeal.
