A HOMELESS centre in Greenock was evacuated last night - following a bomb threat.
The major police alert was sparked by a phone call to the Inverclyde Centre in Dalrymple Street around 4pm.
Sixteen people had to leave the building while a full scale search was mounted.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said it was established that it had been a hoax call and the occupants were returned safely to the premises.
