FRESH plans have been drawn up for a further outlet to be built at the retail park which is being extended in Port Glasgow.
Planning bosses are considering a new proposal for a ‘retail unit’ at the former Scott Lithgow and East Glen Yard at Russell Way.
It would be built on the corner between the current B&Q store and the building that Aldi will be occupying once the park expansion is complete.
The piece of land had previously been earmarked for a restaurant, but it’s not yet clear what is now planned to go there.
Meanwhile it has also been confirmed that a previous plan to include a gym in the retail park has been dropped.
Companies which will be moving in at the expanded park include Watt Brothers, B&M, TK Maxx and Aldi.
Marks & Spencer have also been linked with the park, which is already home to the Waterwheel pub/restaurant and Costa Coffee.
The revised planning application for the corner unit was received by Inverclyde Council this week.
Officials are now considering the proposal.
