PLAYERS at Rankin Park are ‘bowled over’ by their new shirts.
The bowling club members say they are extremely grateful to Co-operative Funeralcare in West Blackhall Street for donating money for the smart new attire.
They also wish to thank O’Neill’s Sportswear for providing the shirts.
President Paul McElwee said: “We want to thank both the Co-operative Funeralcare and O’Neill’s sportswear for our shirts. They are fantastic.”
The club is thriving after a difficult few years.
Paul added: “About five or six years ago we were in £12,000 in debt and at the time we had two choices, either to walk away and lock the door or fight to keep the club going.
“We did the latter, and thanks to the hard work of our members and committee, we have come out the other side.”
