AMAZON’S big-hearted charity committee are making playtime more fun than ever at an Inverclyde nursery.

The Gourock-based workers have donated two playhouses to the Rainbow Family Centre in Port Glasgow, and the youngsters are already making full use of them.

The centre time provides early education, family support and parent classes.

The playhouses were delivered by committee members and Gourock site general manager Gavin Morrison

He said: “The Rainbow Family Centre plays an important role, and is a great source of support for some of our local families.

“The team at Amazon is keen to support the development of our young people, and we were pleased to be able to deliver these playhouses to help the children who use the centre to learn through play.”

Ann Marie Boyd from the centre said: “I’d like to say a heartfelt thanks to Gavin and the team for their lovely donation.

“We aim to encourage children to learn through free and active play, so equipment like this is an exciting and welcome addition to our centre.”

She added: “I know the children will spend many happy hours playing in these houses, and developing their health and well-being through play.”
