RAFFLE prizewinners enjoyed a sail on the Clyde courtesy of Seatrek Marine Services.

The Kip Marina-based company used one of their three boats to take Elaine and Bill Nicol, along with Oak Mall Centre manager Claire Jefcoate, on a trip doon the watter.

Bill won the trip at last year’s Greenock Chamber of Commerce Bee’s Knees Awards, where the raffle raised £3,530 for Reach for Autism.

Elaine, a past Chamber president, explained: “We were guests of Oak Mall at the dinner, so we were delighted Claire could join us for the sail.

“From the moment we stepped on board the Island Fox at James Watt Dock, through our sail down the Clyde and back, Seatrek’s Lesley and John Robertson, along with crew member Adam Johnston, ensured we enjoyed the VIP treatment.

“We talked about the great work they do, delving into the commercial and leisure training delivered for motorboats and powerboats designed to help people get the most out of their boating and keep them safe.”

Elaine added: “We were interested to hear about their corporate team-building charters, and even opportunities for business meetings out on the water!

“As well as private leisure hires, they have been used for everything from camera boats to film activities around the west coast of Scotland, to safety and security boats to cover events.

“It’s great to see Seatrek Marine Services contributing to the ongoing revival of our maritime sector here in Inverclyde.”
