A tattooed Irn-Bru superfan was sent an emergency crate of pop by the Scottish fizz makers after he was caught short on a camping trip.

Ginger-fizz mad David Laing, from Motherwell, is a known life-long fan of the drink and proudly displays his two Irn-Bru tattoos featuring the old and new products.

The 35-year-old sent out a plea from afar and the Irn-Bru delivery drone collected a crate of the Scots stuff from the factory floor and delivered it straight to David's tent door.

The Scots company also sent out emergency supplies to other far-flung fans who were in need of their favourite fizz.

Jess the sheep dog took time out of her working day to supply an ice cold can of the Irn-Bru to her owners Tom and Sarah Parker in Lanark.

And fisherman Neil Maclean brought his catch of the day to the residents of the Isle of May in the form of the Scottish national drink.

Adrian Troy, Head of Marketing at A.G Barr, said: “Being caught short of BRU is something we wouldn’t wish on our worst enemy so it's important for us to go above and beyond to ensure we deliver the good stuff to those who need it most.”

The company have promised to get their loyal fans out of any thirsty situations this summer by tweeting @irnbru and explaining why the #BRUMustGetThru to you!
