LOCAL schools and churches have been digging deep to help needy people in Inverclyde.
Volunteers from Gourock Schools and Churches organised a collection for Inverclyde Foodbank. The Telegraph met them during a stop-off at Gourock Primary.
Paul McQuilken, a teacher at Clydeview, who was one of the team driving round collecting items, said: “People have been very generous.”
