A MAN was rushed to hospital last night after being stabbed in a Port Glasgow pub.
The 26-year-old was in Donnachies Bar in Scarlow Street just after 11.30pm when he was allegedly attacked by another man with a knife.
During the attack the man sustained injuries to his face and body.
He was rushed to Inverclyde Royal Hospital and kept in overnight.
Detective Sergeant Alex Allardyce says the incident is being treated as a serious assault.
He said: "A 26-year-old male was allegedly assaulted by a male who had a knife in Donnachies Bar at 11.40pm last night.
"The man sustained injuries to his face and body and was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital.
"His condition is not life threatening but he was kept in overnight.
"This appears to be a targeted attack and we are following a positive line of inquiry."
