A GREENOCK pensioner with hearing problems is getting the best of care thanks to Specsavers.
The store in the Oak Mall recently ran a competition to mark Deaf Awareness Week.
The winner, Peter Kaok, 70, had a hearing check and was then fitted for an aid device.
Store manager Lesley Brown said: “Modern advancements in digital hearing aid technology mean today’s hearing aids can vastly improve quality of life.
“It’s so important to have regular hearing checks from the age of 40.”
As part of the activities, Specsavers had visits from the local fire brigade, hearing dogs and Action on Hearing Loss charities.
