GREENOCK rockers The Luci Baines Band are back with a bang to mark their 20th anniversary by sharing the bill with the likes of The Proclaimers and Billy Ocean.

The local lads – Andy Kerr, Will Gallacher, Robert McGovern, Sami Cushnaghan and Kev Ward – have reformed to celebrate two decades since releasing their debut single ‘Find A Li’l Love in 1996.

And the four-piece are doing it in style having been lined up to play one of the biggest music events of the summer, Party at the Palace 2016 in Linlithgow, next Saturday and Sunday.

They are on the line-up alongside big names such as The Proclaimers, below,
and Billy Ocean, who are headlining the event.

Also on the bill are the likes of The Fratellis, Andy Bell from Erasure and Big Country over the two-day music festival overlooking the historic Linlithgow Palace.

The Luci Baines Band released their debut single 20 years ago on Greenock-based YoYo Records and were then headhunted by former Undertones singer Feargal Sharkey.

They went on to headline the T Break Stage at T in the Park that year as well as touring with Manchester band Bad Man Wagon, which included a show at the legendary Hacienda.

This Saturday they will headline the second stage at Party at the Palace and a big contingent of Inverclyde fans are expected to make the trip to see them back in action.

The band have organised a bus and have a limited number of tickets for the event.
