MEMBERS of a Greenock support group learned lifesaving skills at a first aid class.
The Greenock Recovery Alcohol Support Project, also known as GRASP, took part in the ‘Everyday First Aid’ session provided by the British Red Cross.
Tommy Docherty, who is the group’s chairman, said: “This is another step in upskilling our members and furthering our ambition in being able to help one another.
“The group would like to thank everyone involved and look forward to their continued support.”
The group would like to give special thanks to Alan Deans, of Inverclyde Council Community Learning and Development, as well as Elspeth Crawford, a service co-ordinator with the British Red Cross.
GRASP meets every Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 4pm.
They also meet on a Tuesday evening from 6-9pm at the Crown Care Centre in King Street.
