NO fewer than 15 sets of twins are ready to start school in Inverclyde this week.

Education and communities convener Councillor Terry Loughran said: “Last year we saw a record breaking 19 sets of twins start primary school. This year’s intake is still an astonishingly high number. We are delighted to welcome all of our young people to school this week whether they are returning or, like our 15 sets of twins, starting primary for the first time."

The twins gathered at Clyde Square today after enjoying a specially arranged bookbug session at the library.
