A MAN has tragically died after falling from the ninth floor of a Greenock high flat.
The person, 45, was found after emergency services rushed to the scene at Ravenscraig Court.
Police were called at 2.40pm and officers were quickly in attendance.
Three ambulances and several police cars attended and a tent was erected at the scene.
An eyewitness said: "It looked like something tragic had taken place.
"There were paramedics, ambulances and a number of police cars. The building was also been taped off."
DS Gordon Gibson, of Greenock CID, said: "A man has been killed after falling from the ninth floor of Ravenscraig Court. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and relatives have been informed."
