IT’S a family affair at Moorfoot Primary for a proud grandmother and auntie.
Anne MacPherson has five grandchildren and two nieces at the Gourock school.
The 63-year-old has been doing the school run for almost 40 years, as her three children went there and her younger brother Stuart was also in the first year of pupils who attended the school.
Anne’s grandson Jack and niece Anna, both 10, are in primary seven.
Her grandson Rory MacPherson, nine, is in P6, niece Isla Murray, eight, is in P4, and grandchildren Max Murray and Katie MacPherson are in P3 while four-year-old grandson Bobby MacPherson completes the clan in P1.
Anne, of Midton, said: “The school run has been fine, I share it with their other gran.
“It’s good they’re all together.
“The children love it and the older ones look after the younger ones.”
Anne’s children — Andrew, 42, Julie, 39, and Pauline, 22 — all attended the school and are carrying on the family tradition.
Andrew and his wife Fiona have Rory, Katie and Bobby, while Julie and David are the parents of Jack and Max. Stuart and Julie have Anna and Isla.
The pensioner said: “My brother was one of the first to come to Moorfoot and now his daughters are coming here too.
“It’s a good wee family school.”
