QUARRIERS has been recognised for its work in raising awareness of its services.

Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce gave the Bridge of Weir charity a Bee’s Knees Award for excellence in marketing and communications.

Particular praise was lavished on the team’s work in sharing the Quarriers’ message via social media, branding and promotional activity, media relations, and celebrity engagement.

The charity says increased awareness helps to improve the lives of all people who use its network of services across Scotland.

The award was presented to the team of Carol Eden, Heather Crumley, Claire Buchanan, Sharon McIntosh and Johnny Steele.

Alice Drife, Quarriers’ chief executive, said it has been dedicated to supporting people for more than 145 years.

She said: “We are proud to have our ongoing activity recognised with this award.

“We continue to put the needs of people we support in Inverclyde and beyond first – and our marketing department does a sterling job of informing and generating interest in what we do.

“There is a lot of exciting activity going on in Inverclyde. The standard of nominations at the Bee’s Knees Awards was high, so we’re really pleased to have won.”

Quarriers marketing team hopes to continue its success, as it has been shortlisted for the Charity Times Awards 2016 for Excellence in Internal Communications.
