POLICE are treating the death of a man at a house in Larkfield today as 'unexplained'.
Officers were called to an address in Cumberland Road after a 60-year-old man died there around 2am.
It is not yet known what happened to the man and a post-mortem is to be carried out.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 0200 hrs on Tuesday 6 September 2016, a 60-year-old man died within a house in Cumberland Road, Greenock.
“A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death and police are treating the death as unexplained meantime.
“A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
