A GROUP of high school pupils put in a terrific shift to help a local children’s charity.
The girls from St Columba’s High in Gourock helped raise £3,000 for Children in Poverty Inverclyde last year.
And they recently volunteered to help at a fund raising stall.
Charity chairman Pat Burke said: “The girls were wonderful ambassadors for their school in both their application and enthusiasm.”
Volunteers Kiera Cannon, Leah Murray, Kimberley McKenzie, Kayla Orr and Caitlyn Rodgers helped out at the Children in Poverty stall at an early bird Christmas fete.
They helped raise £230 for the charity, which sends children from Inverclyde on holiday.
Children in Poverty Inverclyde were also boosted by donations from Gifto in Greenock’s Oak Mall.
