POLICE have issued a photo of missing vulnerable woman Margaret Fleming as their search for the 36-year-old from Inverkip continues.

Margaret, who's believed to have learning difficulties, hasn't been seen for almost a week and concerns for her wellbeing are growing.

She was last seen at her home address by her two carers at 6.20pm on Friday October 28.

She is described as around 5ft 5 inches in height, with collar length black hair and brown eyes. She is described as being of heavy build.

When last seen, she was wearing a green coloured tartan fleece or jumper, dark coloured jeans or trousers, wearing 'Karrimor' type boots which were dark in colour. She also had a satchel-type handbag.

Chief Inspector Elliot Brown, Area Commander for Greenock, said today: "It's now been almost a week since Margaret was last seen, and given her vulnerabilities, we are very concerned. There is a real strength of feeling in the community of Inverkip about Margaret's disappearance, and we’ve had a few local people reach out to us to ask if they can help in some way.

"Whilst we are very appreciative of such offers and very pleased with the response we've received from the public, we have specialist search officers in and around the area where she went missing carrying our significant enquiries.

"Local people can help us by sharing our appeals to trace Margaret, please study her image and share with friends - have you seen her? Do you know her? Do you have anything you can pass to police which might be able to help with our enquiries? If so, please contact us immediately via 101."
