MOTORISTS face further roadworks misery on the A8 from Greenock to Port Glasgow - despite the fact nobody seems to be working at the cordoned off site.
Cones are restricting traffic to one lane close to the Vauxhaull Arnold Clark branch, with the pavement dug up and taped off.
But when the Tele visited the site this morning, no workmen were in attendance.
Traffic was tailing back to the roundabout near McDonalds.
Drivers also faced lengthy tailbacks last night, with cars backed up to the Bullring roundabout at rush hour.
It is the third time this year this particular section of the A8 has had work carried out, with drivers facing long delays on each occasion.
