GREENOCK’S Ocean Terminal has received the royal seal of approval after the announcement an opulent vessel is returning.
Bosses at Princess Cruises have confirmed that the sublime Royal Princess will dock 11 times from May to September 2018 as part of her British Isles tour.
It is estimated that the Royal Princess will bring around 40,000 visitors to the area.
The ‘floating palace’ was launched by HRH, The Duchess of Cambridge, in Southampton in 2013. The ship most recently called at Greenock in 2015 during a previous season sailing the British Isles.
Tony Roberts, vice president of Princess Cruises UK and Europe, said: “We are thrilled to announce that Royal Princess will be returning to Greenock as part of our British Isles itinerary.
“2018 will be the fifth year anniversary since Royal Princess was launched, so welcoming this magnificent ship back to where she was christened feels very fitting.”
