BIG-HEARTED children and their families raised £300 for Inverclyde Foodbank.
Tots from Binnie Street Children’s Centre in Gourock made a visit to the charity this week.
The money was raised from the sale of programmes from the nursery’s nativity show.
Fiona Bain, early years education and childcare officer, said: “We wanted to make them aware of the community where they live and we decided to make a donation to the Foodbank.
“The children were keen to come. We explained to the boys and girls that although they would have had lots of nice food to eat at Christmas, some families don’t have any food and that is why it was important to help the Foodbank.”
Foodbank manager Ian Esson said the donation was ‘incredibly kind.’
