YOUNG entrepreneurs have proved they have a’ thirst for success’ after making it through to the final of a major business competition.

Third year Clydeview Academy pupils Aimee-Lee Brown, Jenny Clark and Alexander Booth have made it through to the final of the ‘Coca Cola Real Business Challenge’.

The talented trio impressed judges with their business acumen after being tasked to come up with a healthy drink which could be marketed at the Special Olympics.

Their snappy drink entitled ‘Dragon Pop’ caught the attention of the organisers and they will now battle it out against nine other schools in the regional final in Edinburgh on Wednesday February 1.

Teacher Lynn MacMillan, who has helped co-ordinate the project said: “I’m so chuffed that they have got down to the last 10 schools in Scotland.”

To choose what teams were put forward to represent Clydeview, an internal ‘Dragon’s Den’ style competition was held in the school with judges Kevin Blamire, marketing director at Kip Marina and Robert Lamb from Inverclyde Council.

The runners-up were Jessica Campbell, Zoe Cox, Kayla Gillan and Nicole McMillan.

The school were keen to mention Zoe Polonis who was in the winning group but has since emigrated.
