GREENOCK is gridlocked after a major fire caused the closure of a stretch of the A8.
A blaze broke out at the McKechnie Jess meat factory around 3am and firefighters remain on the scene tackling it.
The main road has been closed between Gibshill Road and Bogston, with a diversion in place.
But the roads have become badly blocked, leading to major chaos.
